On June 21, 2022, an agreement was signed in Kinshasa between SAKIMA SA (state holding company) and TESCO Maniema co. s.a.r.l for a joint project for the production of tin concentrates from tailings deposits accumulated during the period of operation from 1940 to 1980 years.
According to the project, in the period from 2023 to 2025, it is planned to put into operation 5 tin concentrate processing plants performance of 500 tons tailings per hour in total.
Currently, the installation of equipment for a tin concentrate processing plant in Saulia is underway. The launch of the plant is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2023.
